Came to celebrate a birthday on 12/10. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive and definitely knew the menu inside and out. Food was delicious and portions were big enough to have leftovers. We don’t usually order dessert at restaurants but the menu was too temping to resist and we ended up ordering two! The butterscotch dessert was fabulous and paired nicely with the cranberry cake.

Went here for our first anniversary, it was wonderful! They gave us a glass of rosé to celebrate :) The food was the best I've had in the area, and all the staff was so kind and attentive. No better place to celebrate ❤️

Great St Louis restaurant. Impeccable service.friendly, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. Food is creative, beautiful and delicious. The seared mushroom dish (no photo) stood out and the mind boggling tea infused crème brûlée was so unique and spectacular. Everyone was gushing over that dessert. Everyone is always happy and eager to return. Our go to when we want to take clients to dinner.

There are many places across STL where you can find great food, cocktails, and atmosphere…but no one beats Olive + Oak when it comes to service and hospitality. My wife and I just got married and this was our first dinner as a married couple and I have never felt so much love and from the ENTIRE staff in my life. Massive shout out to the manger Brooke, our server Fernando, another server Mindy, and our busser Rowan. This was our 5th time at the restaurant but first time actually reserving a table and we left speechless and filled with gratitude. Thank you Olive + Oak, you all made an absolutely unforgettable night… and yes of course the food was impeccable, the cocktails were unique and refreshing, the dessert was both different and familiar. Just blown away as I write this 24 hours after we dined there. I hope the owner sees this and recognizes the incredible staff. Thank you so much.

We went here for a birthday celebration, started at the bar for happy hour. Bartenders know how to make a great old fashioned, and the wings for an appetizer is a must! Once our table was ready, our server Beck treated us like royalty, it was amazing! We had the 32oz steak for 2. It was prepared perfectly, presented very well, and was one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. We shared an exquisite espresso martini for dessert, and overall, everything was perfect. Great way to celebrate a birthday!

I have to be honest with you. I didn't know anything about St. Louis before I visited here for a few days. I certainly wasn't expecting the food scene to be so excellent. I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two

The highlight of my experience at Olive + Oak was the service I received. Hands down some of the best wait staff I could have ever experienced. The food at the restaurant was right there with the service I received. I ordered the beef tartare as my starter which easily a 10/10 for me and the venison loin which I would give 8/10. Highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or if you're in the area and want something special.

Our first time visiting O+O was a great experience. Starting with the place, it is a beautiful setting, cozy and modern. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making sure that you feel welcome and is always getting what you need. The food was delicious. We were not sure if we should order a starter, but the Octopus with spanish potatoes was totally worth it every bite. We heard a lot about their house burguer, so we had to try that one and it did not dissapoint. It was cooked to perfection, excellent ratio of meat and other ingredients. And the fries were crispy and crunch. The pork cheek with cheesy grits was a great combination. Well executed plate and very conforting food.

Went here for the first time for a wedding anniversary, and the food was fantastic. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the newer, more open and casual atmosphere at a lot of these higher end places. Maybe we're old fashioned, but we like our higher end places to be a bit more formal, but the service was exceptional. The shareable steak was a great option, and probably among the best steaks I've ever had. Since it took a long time to prepare, they gave us an appetizer of wings for free. It's definitely a nice place, but expensive, and we'd go back for special occasions.
